FAR RIDE TO NORTHCLIFF WA 3/2/18
Training for the Perth Canberra trip. Just registered for a 1000km ride in 24 hours to Northcliff WA being completed Sat 3/2/18. Plan to leave 5am heading to Walpole and then on to Northcliff for the check on at 1130am
Successfully completed Perth to Denham WA late last year with farriders.
All good training for the 1600 km IBA ride on my way to Canberra.
Just live to ride !…or at least getting the mind set right for the big one.
Perth to Canberra Trip March 2018
Planning for the long haul trip to Canberra is well underway. My choice of Bike for the trip is a Honda ST1300PA towing a trailer with my Swag, Fridge, Food, Refreshments and creature comforts.
My Choice of Wheels for the trip
Plan to complete an IBA (Iron Butt Association) 1600km in 24 hours during my journey which will see me cover just under 10,000km on total during my 21 day trip. Have planned to take several relaxation days along the way to visit friends and family in Pt Lincoln SA, Adelaide, West and Central Gippsland Victoria and Canberra.
Will use this forum to write about my travels and let my friends and family know where I am at.
Really getting excited now as my 2nd March 2018 departure date is not so far away now.
